I’m a charger that charges through the night
Like a yellow bolt of lightning passing everything in sight
I’m the best pal the Straw Hats ever had
I’m thunder on the water lookin’ bad, bad, bad

I’m a knight, like the kind in shining armor
With my polished body gleaming, I’m a fighter and a charmer
If trouble comes your way just ask for me
My friends all know me as the Thousand Sunny

I’m the Thousand Sunny
A cola-pumpin’, Adam Wooded cavalry
I’ll never let you down when you’re sailing with me
Batten down and I’ll show you what I mean

Take a look back there
Sirens blowin’, Marine flags flyin’ everywhere
We’ll cross the sea and we’ll be runnin’ free
They’ll eat wake compliments of me, the Thousand Sunny

I’m a hero and that’s how I’ll make you feel
When you’re sailing captain with me and the law is at your heels
I’m glory bound, but when the chase is done
I’ll take off to the islands and have fun, fun, fun

I’ve got style, banking the waves on curves
Let my flag wave proudly to the people that I serve
I’m number one and I will always be
The pride of the Grand Line they call the Thousand Sunny

I’m the Thousand Sunny
A cola-pumpin’, Adam Wooded cavalry
I’ll never let you down when you’re sailing with me
Batten down and I’ll show you what I mean

Take a look back there
Sirens blowin’, Marine flags flyin’ everywhere
I’ll fire my cannons and we’ll be running free
And they’ll go swimmin’ compliments of me

A little tribute to our favorite lion headed ship!

There's this song Johnny Cash wrote dedicated to the orange, Confederate-flagged '69 Dodge Charger of the Duke Boys, The General Lee. It speaks of the undying loyalty, fun-loving nature, authority defying prowess and death-defying stunts the car possesses. It kinda reminded me of the Thousand Sunny, the best friend the Straw Hats ever had and how it has always been there for them.

Here's the song to help give you the rhythm: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0m0hT….

On another note, I also believe it could work for the Going Merry. Just replace some of the descriptions like "white bolt of lightning", "sheep-headed, high-sailing cavalry", "The pride of the East Blue", and "Going Merry" with "Thousand Sunny". It'll still rhyme.

Then again, I feel the Thousand Sunny is more tougher than the Merry and it can do more death-defying stunts like the General Lee, so I felt Sunny worked better.

It's really up to interpretation.

Either way, enjoy!
