Ok, for those wondering where I've been this Halloween, I've been at Dismember the Alamo.
Dismember the Alamo is the annual Halloween celebration at the Alamo Drafthouse.
The Alamo Drafthouse is a movie palace that not only shows new movies, but old movies as well. They also offer fully cooked meals and alcoholic beverages. It is the best place to see a movie here in Austin!
Anyway, at Dismember the Alamo, they show six cult horror movies from 1:00 until the stroke of Midnight on Halloween. The kicker is that they never tell you what the movies they're going to show. You just have to be surprised.
Anyway, my father, brother and I went there tonight and we had loads of fun!
Before the movies, there were Halloween-themed shorts and commercials, etc. And then, they showed "Monsters Crash the Pajama Party", an incredibly cheezy audience-involvement spook show where trained actors sneak into the theater at a certain point in the film to capture girls for the Mad Doctor. It made us laugh more than scream. XD
The first movie was Frankenhooker, another movie to tickle our funny bones. As the title implies, a mad scientist attempts to reanimate his butchered fiance after a freak lawnmower accident. In order to do so, he decides to use the body parts of New York prostitutes. Unfortunately, this does not go as planned. It leads to libido-infused electrocutions for those willing to pay.
The second film was a unknown anthology film called Screams of a Winter Night. Practically never seen before, this Mafia-funded horror flick involves ten college students spending the weekend in a Louisiana lakeside cabin where they tell scary stories to each other.
The third film was the crowning jewel of the evening. Personally selected by director John Landis; The Theater of Blood starring Vincent Price. A fantastic film in which Vincent Price plays panned Shakespearean thespian Edward Lionheart. In order to exact his vengeance on the critics who cost him the award of his lifetime, he punishes them using the Immortal Bard's most famous murder scenes. A film that casts a fantastic actor in such distinguished roles is a definite watch!
The fourth film was supposed to showcase the guest speaker, John Landis. Unfortunately, thanks to weather, he was unable to make it to the showing. An American Werewolf in London is the quintessential werewolf movie. Enriching the mythos with new stipulations to the curse, it all comes to a head when the werewolf goes rampant in Piccadilly Circus.
The Fifth and final film was actually a shot-on-tape film done by a sixteen year old Mark Polonia, famed splatter film director. Three brothers suffer from disturbing and terrifying hallucinations that gnaw at their minds and souls.
Combined with the food, it was an awesome way to spend Halloween!

Back in the Saddle!
Happy Easter! Yeah, it's long gone but I wanted to start off with a holiday greeting. I know this quarantine sucks beyond belief but thanks to it I've had renewed inspiration. I'm writing more and thinking up new ideas. I'M BACK! And with it I'm going to bring brand new content to this old page of mine! I've got fan creations that I'm sure you'll love! And a whole new batch of original stories I'm going to share! It's good to be back!
My deepest apologies...
for never being around that much.
I've had a busy month to say the least. Not to mention this week.
At the begining of September, I hit a buck with my father's Mustang, damaging it heavily, I said goodbye to my girlfriend as she went home, and I got picked up by this hiring agency that offered me a five month contract for Holiday work.
Alot of bad, but also alot of good.
I've been honestly too busy to do any stuff on here.
Hopefully I'll get some control of my life and start interacting some more.
To Whom It May Concern
My deepest, deepest, and most sincere apologies.
It's probably been nearly a year since I last posted a journal here on dA.
But as usual, life has gotten away from me. ^^;
I'm still trying to write and cosplaying as I usually do. I'm lining myself up for a fulltime job. And...most important of all...
I GOT A GIRLFRIEND! X3
Her name's Jonicia and she's a big anime fan, especially One Piece. We go to cons and cosplay together.
There's just been so much going on, I haven't had the time to be on here like I used to.
But one day I shall return and I hope it's soon. ^_^
